Day 28
Read: 2 Samuel 6:1-23
Key Verses: 2 Sam 6:22
Thoughts: So how do we respond when our worship is under attack. It could be the voice of the enemy trying to make us worry about what other people are thinking (like we talked about yesterday), or that you are tired, or that you simply just aren’t in the mood to REALLY worship with all that you are.
Well, David responded by turning his worship up! I bet his wife never questioned his worship again! She was afraid it would get even crazier! Next time your worship is under attack, try turning your worship up a few notches. Go all in, with more focus and more energy! Sing louder, jump higher, and refuse to put your hands down… and just see what happens! You may just get the breakthrough you’ve been looking for!
Has your worship been under attack? What are you going to do about it?
Quote: “That is what worship is all about. It is the glad shout of praise that arises to God the creator and God the rescuer from the creation that recognizes its maker, the creation that acknowledges the triumph of Jesus the Lamb. That is the worship that is going on in heaven, in God’s dimension, all the time. The question we ought to be asking is how best we might join in.” – N.T. Wright
Prayer: God, please forgive me for ever giving up when my worship was under attack. Help me to worship You more intensely and passionately than ever before. Please lead me into radical, intimate encounters with You this week!
